Following a successful career at ANZ, Jason established Finance Mutual Australia in 1998, which has become one of the largest and most respected financial services groups in South Australia.
Since 2000, Jason has been actively involved in property circles, personally developing, investing, and advising on some of South Australia’s significant real estate transactions and developments.
Given the group’s abilities, in 2006 IAG, the parent owner of SGIC, selected Finance Mutual Australia to operate its SGIC retail branch operation within South Australia, including Adelaide CBD.
Through his businesses, Jason has managed over $1 billion of investments through the administration of various investment portfolios.
Jason is frequently requested to advise and comment locally and nationally on developments in both the finance and property industries by the media, industry peers, and government bodies. On several occasions, Jason has been requested to formally present his views to various levels of both the State and Federal Government.
Jason and his businesses have been nominated for numerous awards. Jason is also an Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Awards finalist, in recognition of his innovative business enterprises.
Jason is a Senior Member of the Australian Institute of Bankers and Finance (AIBF), the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA), the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA), and is a member of the Justice of the Peace in South Australia. Jason is also a member of the Young Presidents Organisation (YPO).
Jason also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Adelaide.
Joseph has extensive experience within the commercial property sectors, having managed in excess of $300 million in commercial property assets and currently oversees a development pipeline of property related developments within South Australia. Joseph has also successfully transacted with government agencies, private investors, funds, and ASX-listed entities.

With strong financial and commercial acumen, his specific expertise lies in project initiation, delivery, and ongoing management of commercial real estate assets.
In recent times, Joseph has acted for various national investment consortium’s for the acquisition, management, and divestment of significant South Australian property assets, such as the South Australian Police and Forensic Science Centre and the Metcash Distribution Facility. In 2021, Joseph was also selected to form part of the Development Advisory team which provided strategic development advice to the Anglican Diocese of Adelaide for its property holdings.
Joseph is committed to executing the investment strategies of 1835 Property and is responsible for the group’s asset and development management operations. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Business (Property), Postgraduate in Real Estate Business and Marketing Management, and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance.
Joseph is also a Registered Land Agent.
Martin has over 40 years experience in Banking & Finance, holding senior positions in Commercial and Retail Banking.
Previous roles also include State Manager, SA & NT of Australia’s largest wholesale finance broking business, Australian Finance Group and National President of the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia.
